Looking good! I've been running hempys for 2 years I have been contemplating adding the tube like you did.

You will need to top water till the roots reach the bottom rez.

When they are in full flower you might get 2 maybe 3 days without water but that's doubtful.

I personally like the tube for watering, it makes it so easy.

I have an autopot system running side by side with my hempy. So I just dip a jug into the reservoir and then feed my hempy. I using House and Garden A&B, Ozi magic and drip clean. I also do a microbe tea once a week for the first 6 weeks of flower.

So far, the plant in the hempy has responded really well to the nutrients. Yeah 3 days is the max I would leave between watering. I pretty much water once a day.

Hi everyone,

I harvested my little 95 Afi last week, so I guess my hempy bucket experiment has come to an end. Overall, it worked really well, but it did have it's learning curve. One very important lesson, on watering, you really have to aim to collect a 3rd of the amount in runoff on every watering (water 2liters, collect approx 600mm in run off)....this is super important. If you don't you will burn the crap out of your plant. Or at least that's what happened to me. Luckily they are really easy to flush, so I was able to get her back on track.

I rigged a water system using a funnel and piece of flexi tube. This worked really well, it made fertigating as simple as dumping a 2 liter jug through the funnel and waiting approx. 20-30secs to collect the runoff in a drip tray. I found adding a tap to the outlet/drainage hole was really helpful too. As you could add a simple piece of hose and connect it to a drip tray outside of the tent.

The mobility and cheapness of these things is another added benefit. For now I am going to continue with my autopot system. Because its automated, doesn't require power, and works really well with coco plants. But its good to know that hempys are a tool in the growing tool box, if you need some cheap and practical and efficient...if these things were a vehicle they would be an Toyota Hilux ute. :Stoned:
