I’m with raw here, I don’t transplant much but if I’m gonna transplant an auto I like it to be somewhere between week 2-3 in the hopes of the transplant still getting some more veg time
and the flowers bloom like madness in the spring

Pot them up before they start getting rootbound in the small pots.

Root restriction can really kickstart the flowering process as early as 3 weeks and you'll end up with a smaller than you should plant.

That's personal observations btw, I dunno what the sciencey whore-tea-culturalists folks say though.

I just like to pot everything up when I see roots out the bottom.

I may need to go pot myself up. :cheering:

Thanks gents , I want the coco to hold together and not leave it too long so as to force flowering I have heard some people say to do it when the leaves are out of the pot circumference which same as Marcus just said about the roots seems pretty good advice . I don't want to waste decent genetics to a solo cup , it will be good to see the difference between the 2 plants thanks for chiming in guys any more info gratefully recieved

I'm with Marcus on the rootbound thing. It's nice to Start seedlings in small pots, easier to control environment, saves wasting medium, but with your autos you dont want them stalling even a day, br9mg root bound or the shock of being transplanted will do exactly that.

I tend to start autos in small pots just to do the above mentioned things, but I'll pot up real quick, I try to do it so the roots are just starting to show on the outside of the medium. In my head rhe roots are still searching and moving through the medium, so it's no shock or hindrance.

I'm shit with autos though 😅. I'll also put the small pot and big pot in the same tent/environment for a good few hours prior to potting up, sounds ott but in my head it again further reduces any shock/stalling by the medium being the exact same temperature.
