Solar power for outdoor shed?
Anyone ever hooked up solar panels? Im trying to wrap my head around this all. I get that a 500w panel doesnt mean it can or will constantly power 500w but well fuck.. if anyone understands solar panel shit please help me. I just to grow in an outdoor shed

and then it depends on what output voltage you are after, 12, 24, 48 or 240. for 240 you'll need mains supply to shed and the right switch gear to take power of the panels when its available etc or a whooping battery if using the lower voltages. someone like @Greenfingers is probably best to explain it all, i gave up as its not really cost effective for us. i think the ROI was like 16 years lol

The area shows itll be in 87th percentile for amount of direct sunlight... whatever the fuck that means. Ive been trying to read up and i think bigger battery the more storage it has? Ima check that link @Hmr81

all depends on what you are trying to power, lights are possible but heat/ac is serious power. unless you have one of those tesla home battery packs id stick with powering lights and a fan off solar tbh.
