Re: Shooting?
To be fair I'd be the same in the US. I would want my own hand gun too!
On the other hand, if you seen the mentality of some of the kids and young adults in the UK, you'd see why I'm quite happy living with the gun laws we do.
At least I'd never feel like I'd need to use me plinker .177 on an intruder with a 9mil or something! Lock stock 2 smoking barrels!

Re: Shooting?
You have to remember that guns are more regulated in the UK. Much like hard drugs, they'll always be there.Elijahgrowz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 7:23 amGun laws are ridiculous only the Americans think, well to make me safe give me a gun kids have been killed schools shot up people in concerts shot up, but it's cool let's give everyone a gun because it's safer
Guns are bad you'll never convince me otherwise
(no offence to any fellow Americans in here this is just my opinion)
Gun sport is more prevalent than people think in the UK, if you've never been a part of it.
All about responsible ownership, regulation, safety and restriction for me in my eyes.

Re: Shooting?
Not all humans are. But you won't ever stop them completely. They'll always be there.
We've proved regulation and control works better here than in the US. That's good enough for me.
There is a massive target shooting culture in the UK, hence my previous comment.
It does work, just nothing is fool proof.
I think we should have Gendarmerie like in France Maybe a lot of unruly people here would have more respect for our law enforcing peers then.
Kids and young adults these days are like outlaws! They think they can take matters into their own hands.
There is a time, a place and a necessary in certain situations.
If you eradicate every gun on the planet, wipe peoples minds, there will be one or two, within a year or so, that would soon invent such a thing.
I'll never side that things should be legal like in the US. But I also thing a complete ban in the UK would ruin a lot of good people woth good sportsmanship here too.
