Liquid Oxygen Growth Technology Review

Post by Nanook »

 liquid oxygen review

Hi :)

So here's my review of Growth Technologies Liquid Oxygen!
I use this product DAILY - it is H2O2 Hydrogen peroxide and I add it to my tank at a level of 50ml per day, 100ml on tank changes. My res is overfilled and around 200l
It is very cheap and combats Pythium as well as other moulds in the root area. It is £25 for 5l which lasts ages as well. Prevention IMHO is better than cure!

Things to consider:
Cost
It is a mild acid and can irritate

Plus side:
Pythium prevention
mould prevention
Added oxygen in the water

I cannot praise this product enough - it means even with my chiller, if there are issues with high temps, I know I am covered

Bought it in the hope to stop that pond smell when I get low on my 200tr res or have I bought it for the wrong reason lol
Iv got my airstone on now 24/7 to try stop it but I know it's gonna make my ph rise all the time fast cheers

I was going to ask how does it benefit when growing in coco? My res is covered in limescale and I've never ever cleaned it since I put it in there. That would be good 2-3 years  Would it prevent that if DECIDE TO CLEAN it one day?

I used it in fresh water in the res everytime it needed filling up - half ml a L. I wouldn;t be adding it to coco feeds daily.

It stops the sides of my res feeling slimy and keeps that slimy gunk out of the drippers.

No need for airstones in res for coco either I reckon. It just fucks with your ph. A dash of h2o2 at every res refill should be enough if you get slimy stinky problems.

:idn:
Cheers bud I got a bottle but not yet used it. I use drip clean and I don't get limescale or slime with my hard water using that. But last res change I noticed a pond smell in there so was hoping this would stop that? Iv now got a water pump on the way to try instead of my air stone to keep things mixed to see if that stops the pond smell when I get half way through my res

You say don't feed in coco everyday but fill on res change with it? Confussed there mate lol.

Ah! Thanks for the info above guys. I am going to grab a bottle of it. A 120L reservoir lasts me 4 days in coco. So basically I need to only add it once on day 1 and can switch off my airpump?

You almost had me till you said that you use it daily,, ha ha.......... as if.....

hydrogen peroxide is cheaper and does the same job.
Apparenty silver bullet stays active in a res for up to 3 weeks or something, unlike h2o2, or so it says on the bottle/sales bumph.
