Temperature Sensors / Hygrometers

Post by wutang »

Hey all

Stay away from cheap temp or hygrometers for curing. I had integra 62% packs inside my jars anyways but thought they weren't working as they should according to the hygrometers. The inkbird seems to be the most accurate compared with my weather station.

Just shows!

That is really good to see. Seeing is believing and those things are far from consistent. Personally, I feel that everyone should learn to do it by sight, touch and smell. Learning to take the bottom buds and move them to the top after a week, burping jars and being in touch with the various stages of curing. Machines make things easier but doesn't exactly increase your abilities.
That's whats going to be my thinking this time around. I might leave the inkbird one in one jar and the humidity packs tho as Im due to get busy in the next few weeks. Spot on tho, I suppose the more you do it, the more you'll know how to cure without tech.

Definitely have had some tough lessons learned.
Yeah man..this grow has been 10 weeks in veg and Im approaching 12 in flower. Had to long it out in veg as tent availability was poor here for a while when the first lockdown started..so to lose my current harvest would be painful to say the least. The first couple of grows I fucked up hard tho before getting to curing. Still have some.of it left..still gets you high haha

Get a tupperware tub and sling a couple of boveda packs in, put them hygrometers on top and put the lid on.

Leave it for 24 hours and you will see which ones you can trust.

:oik!:

I've heard bovedas can sometimes change the smell/flavour of buds so I went with integras in mine. Seems like a few peoples on here use bovedas..

Each one of my jars had 62% integras with these thermometers. They never reached 62% max 50% so I blamed the packs initially but it was these crappy tings
