So I'm going to install extraction in Sunday,
Now I know I'm doing things slightly backwards by having the air sucked out the spaces into the loft then through the CF.
Now to ruduce noise I'm thinking......
Line a cardboard box with polystyrene boarding I have laying around and then hang from rafters by a few ratchet n rope things.
So as I'm pushing through the CF instead of pulling I'm thinking I'll need to devise some king of pre filter to the ends of the ducting , would tights around the opening of ducting be good enough or should I go tights then small amount of cotton wool then tights again to keep in place ?
Also as filter is at the end of the line just after fan could I connect them straight together or best to add a sml length of ducting ?

Re: Fan & CF set up
I am pu;lling air in from the bottom of my garden, I use specific filters for filtering out any bugs, they're just a screen that fit around your ducting, usually in and I would also put one or two prior to your fan, I put my filter in my room, then pull through, this creates the correct air flow I find. But also it protects my fan from tiny particulates. I would use 2 filter screens, if you plan on placing your filter after your fan. Tights may work ok.TheCloudyChef wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:37 pmSo I'm going to install extraction in Sunday,
