Constant deficiency problem

Post by Nastyhabitz_ »

Afternoon everyone

The last few months ive been having constant deficiency issues with my plants. Looks like severe mag deficiency. Ive used cal mag along with my usual base feed canna coco a+b. Ive even doubled the cal mag dose too no avail. Ph is 6.0 in coco. E.c is 1.2 and i always get 20% run off. Ive been using canna for many years and never had a problem. Has anyone been having issues with this brand

i dont know canna much .

Is your Ph meter calibrated , silly , but its a cause of major issues .

Have your switched anything in your room, like an LED lamp ? LED can be a learning curve with calmag .

Can you post us some pics and your groom stats ? Run off numbers , she may just be hungry for a bit more nutrients .

Im visual so pics with some info will get us to help you more

Others may disagree but I would drop the CalMag and up the EC to 1.4+ with base nutrients. CalMag is only required when using soft water or you have particularly hungry plants. Trust the canna base feed. Good luck buddy

Totslly agree , i use 1/4 the calmag to base nutrients ratio (remo nutrients) in my soft water and the plants are tip top .

they prefer getting 1/4 doses daily then a huge dose every couple of days

Awesome, so you should be bringing the EC up to about 0.2 with CalMag and the rest should come from your base feed. And you should be higher than 1.2. I run my cuttings on 1.6 in coco with a similar background EC to you.
