Circulating fan

Post by Terry_Flanagan1 »

Hi all just after some advice on a circulating fan. I'm after a wall mounted one that's silent, bought one off amazon and made a racket. I have a decent on at the moment that makes no noise at all but is floor mounted and takes up too much room, could fit another plant in its place! Also what time squedule do you set for it just have mine running 24 7 at the moment. :thanks:

I have mine running via a variac and it's quiet. Without it, it would be noisy. Have you tried running the noisy one via a variac?
Never give advice. Wise men don't need advice. Fools won't take it.

Mines on 24/7. No sweat. Just may build up dust which you have to wipe down ow and then or your motor will start to get caught in the trapped dirt and take forever to start up properly.

Better clean than be lazy. Or its just gna cost you in the future to buy another 1 sooner than you need it.

No worries.

This is a variac. It allows you to slow down the speed of a fan...

Best bit of kit I've purchased for growing. I wouldn't be able to grow without it.

I personally use 12v brushless fans wired into a 12v DC DIN Rail power supply,

i use these fans https://www.digikey.co.uk/product-detai ... ND/6198726

and the power supply was about £15 and runs all of my fans.

I even went one step further and mounted them ontop of a servo which is hooked up to a micro controller, meaning I can set the exact angles of the oscillation.

And the things are TINY so depending on space available, they're perfect
