I went to adjust the height of my lights and when I touched the connector It was hot. I checked the connector on the other two lights and they were cool. I got my laser temp gun and the two cool connectors were 80F (26C) and the warm one was 130F (54C). It was warm enough to me to be of concern. I unplugged the light, undid the plastic screw on parts of the connector and checked the screws. One was less than tight. Gave them all a snugging and reassembled. Checked temperature again after 10 minutes and everything is cool now. I'm glad I caught this before it became an issue. You don't even need to go hands on to check. Use your $15 laser thermometer.

Re: Safety Tip - LED lights
Update: I tightened all the tiny screws inside the connector last night. I checked this morning and the connector is cool to the touch. Got my eyes open for the next little thing life throws my way. LOL
