Morning @Minty with Mrs B we worked out that if I upload via user control panel it will upload wonky then I can flip it and submit and it will fix it, if I try and upload via quick reply or full editor by clicking gallery image and upload image it will upload wonky and usually I can’t flip it by going in and editing it. I’m on apple iPhone Se so it’s basicaly same phone as Mrs B iPhone 6 internals just inside an iPhone 5 case.
I don’t use Tapatalk just access site via a browser
It doesn’t seem to matter if I have taken the picture portrait or landscape.

Re: Image Uploading Orientation issue when using Apple / iPhone / iPad devices
I have just tried again if I upload an image via control panel and then gallery it will upload wonky but I seem to be able to rotate it 90degrees right and submit and it flips it, I have noticed if I take a picture landscape ie with the phone on its side it will often but not always upload it as it is on my phone. Now that I know I can upload it this way and flip it il do that. Thanks for trying to sort it Minty is appreciated

Re: Image Uploading Orientation issue when using Apple / iPhone / iPad devices
could this be just cos people are using their phone camera in portrait rather than landscape?

Re: Image Uploading Orientation issue when using Apple / iPhone / iPad devices
Technically yes, there is one additional step in mine as the images are not uploaded to the server until after the preview/edit stage. I guess I can make the 'Preview' part optional but without that it would be the same as the old one just with the added options of drag and drop + pasting in images.Elijahgrowz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 7:31 ambut you seem to have made it even longer to upload something
Kinda need to try it out for a couple of days to see how it feels etc. so I will get it finished and we can run both uploads together and see what people think.
Thanks everyone for the feedback.
