Re: Bluelab PH Pen Review

I've had so many PH pens over the years, don't want to think how much money i've spent (cheap and expensive brands alike). Most died within 6 months. When I got my bluelab pen last year it was €80, I like to keep a backup pen (+drops too) so I checked recently the price and its gone upto €110...... I didn't batter an eyelid, worth €110 all day long. Happy to pay that for something reliable and trustworthy, it's a tool I use almost daily and (for now) I won't buy another brand.

Bluelab truncheon vs Bluelab EC pen? What's better and why would I go for one over the other?

I need to replace me essentials ec meter after around 5 years of periodic use..keeps flashing with "Erb" when I try to calibrate.. changed batteries etc..still the same.

I trust my BlueLab ph pen over some of the cheaper models. I calibrate regularly and if I get a reading that looks wonky I can always check the reading with my ph drops. I think this is money well spent to eliminate ph worries from your grow.

100 percent agree with you@Grumpy Toad ... The same old ones I have are still going strong after 3.5 years. Quality equipment that lasts is what I dig... Same with glass, bangers, ect...I've broken a bunch of cheap TDS pens before Bluelab... Just like cheap glass over fused quartz.
